Bride and groom looking at each other on the stairs at Grittleton House

Wedding at Great Somerford Church followed by a wedding reception at Grittleton House.

As with a few of our 2014 weddings the day started with some showers and then turned into glorious sun. We met Debs and the girls at her parents house in the morning. Dens got her make up and hair done while Mum and Aunties were flower arranging in the gazebo. After spending time with them we set off to the Somerford Arms to meet Ceri and his groomsmen. We found an old garage on the way to the church where a delightful lady let us shoot the them on the forecourt. The church service was performed by Deb’s uncle – Vicaring (made up word) runs in the family, we had met deb’s Dad previously when he had read a sermon at Luke & Lucy’s wedding at Dauntsey Park House.

Grittleton House is a fabulous wedding venue and especially so in the summer with it’s fantastic gardens. Polaroids and hair model posters from the barber’s featured in the afternoon after the wedding breakfast and speeches. Ceri & Debs didn’t have a first dance but we did get some beautiful sunset portraits with them around the grounds before shooting the guests and family until the sun was gone and it was time for home.
