Trereife House wedding in Cornwall
Trereife House is a gorgeous Manor House near Penzance in Cornwall. It’s an amazing wedding venue set in its beautiful formal gardens. Tacita and Jan booked us as their wedding photographers because we are husband and wife and we work together as a team as they do. Jan grew up in Cornwall and it’s a fantastic place. Jan proposed on St. Michael’s Mount in Marazion and they were married a stone’s throw away in Gulval Church just outside Penzance. Trereife house with its beautiful gardens and marquee is a gift for us as you’ll see…
Trereife House Wedding Photography
We met Tacita and her entourage at Chapel House in Penzance in the morning. Gulval Church looks magical as it appears out of a tunnel of flora. It wouldn’t be hard to imagine Piskies living in the bushes. With the proposal location so close we headed down to the beach after the ceremony for a few moments before joining the guests at Trereife for the reception.
The Technical Zone – New Cameras Fujifilm X-T2
This was our first wedding using our brand new Fujifilm X-T2 cameras. We had only picked them up the day before and had high hopes. We had switched to Fujifilm from Canon earlier in the year. You can read about why we switched to Fujifilm X series cameras here. They didn’t disappoint. I’m not going to review the cameras here but they were a major upgrade from our old X-T1s and now all the cameras have the same sensor it makes editing the images easy.
Meanwhile back in the marquee
Formal and funky portraits done it was time to head on down to the marquee at the end of the garden for some food. We joined the caterers for something to eat and a short break before some emotional speeches. Then as the sun set the party started.
