Dauntsey Park House is one of my favourite wedding venues. It is a real hidden gem. We shot Luke and Lucy’s wedding there last year. It was a gorgeous late spring day and after the first dance everyone moved outside to bask in the golden light of the setting sun.
Adventures in Wedding Photography
Welcome to our blog. Here we share our favourite weddings, engagement shoots and other related things. If you would like to see more from Wiltshire and all the other places I’ve visited you can see featured weddings here or view the portfolio here.
Paddy & Ness are having their Dewsall Court wedding at the end of April. We met them at Ness’ parent’s house for their engagement shoot recently.
…that are not wedding related.
On our adventures we get to see some interesting things so I thought I would show you some. These have all been shot in the course of shooting a wedding.
Am I the only one who loves this image? Taken at Kelly and Toby’s Sopley Mill wedding in August; it’s one of my favourites from last year. Other photographers that I have shown it to don’t like it. But I love the colours, I love the way the red and orange swoosh across their heads.
We offer an engagement or pre-wedding shoot with every wedding and as it’s the time of year when we start to meet couples and shoot their pre-wedding photography I thought it would be a good time to share some of my favourite images from past sessions.
“Award winning” It’s an often used phrase these days. Some photographers stretch the use of “Award winning” beyond reason in my opinion but having just won two Fearless awards I’m going to trumpet that fact and here’s why.
I keep a portfolio of my favourite images throughout the year. As the year is now ended, 2014 is complete. There’s not as much personal work this time as the year has been busy with weddings so one of my resolutions is to get out and create.
A year ago today we photographed Emma and Jon’s Christmas wedding at Bowood. Here’s some of my favourite images from a fabulous wedding. Weddings are all about people and Emma and Jon are a really lovely couple. It was a fantastic way to finish our year.
After yesterday’s post about the bridal prep I thought I would balance it up with the groom prep. It’s hardly balanced though as most Grooms are dressed and ready when we meet them.
The bridal prep is probably my favourite part of the wedding day. There’s so much going on, it’s an exciting and emotional time. Sometimes we are there for a few hours, sometimes less.
