Hiding In Plain Sight. Authentic Wedding Photography.

People hardly notice us. We don’t set things up. We don’t work from “must have” lists. We don’t do what the venue tells us “everyone does.” We stay hidden in plain sight. It’s fairly intense for us, we work each situation and remain switched on all day. We’re always on the hunt for moments. A lot of the time our couples don’t realise we were there until they see the images.

Top Instagram posts – April

I’m not the most prolific social media user but I do like Instagram. There’s no “experts” or opinions. It’s just about the image. Here’s the first of a – probably intermittent – series Top Instagram posts where I’ll share the 5 most liked images from the previous month.

We both Swiped right! – A winter wedding

Kate & Jamie had a winter wedding at Clevedon Hall in January after meeting on Tinder. It was a leap year and Kate had Haribo rings, so after Jamie’s Dad joking about it, she got down on one knee after the washing up. He said yes. Of course the Haribo didn’t last long and a few weeks later Jamie presented Kate with a diamond.

Award winning wedding photography

I know, everyone says they are award winning but some awards count more than others. Fearless have over 15,000 entries. There are 6 award collections per year. This collection – the last for 2016 – only 89 images were chosen and only 6 photographers were from the UK. So I’m quite chuffed to be award winning. I asked them why they had chosen to have their wedding at Stone Barn. They told me they just loved the Cotswolds and wanted their wedding photos to reflect the area and time of year; Roaring fires, stone cottages and beautiful countryside. Stone Barn is an amazing place for us Cotswolds wedding photographers. I’ll let Ged tell you about the wedding…

Fiona and Ben’s Larmer Tree Gardens wedding was fun and quirky. Ben was dressed in peacock colours to match the venue’s prolific birds and Fiona had a beautiful 50’s inspired tea length dress.
