The bridal prep is probably my favourite part of the wedding day. There’s so much going on, it’s an exciting and emotional time. Sometimes we are there for a few hours, sometimes less.
Sometimes it’s just me if Carol is covering the groom; most of the time for a groom though, it’s just shave, hair, suit on and out. Girls though are much more exiting. Mums, bridesmaids, guests coming and going and then proud Dad arriving to whisk her off. The bridal prep makes wonderful photographs that will take you back to those moments again and again. So many people say that they relive the day when they see the images, remembering all the things that happened and seeing things for the first time. The day is such a whirlwind it can become a blur.
I like to be there to capture the big day from beginning to end. It can be hard sometimes and no wedding runs on rails. we always tell our couples that there are three things that are set in stone
– The time we turn up
– The ceremony start
– The wedding breakfast
Everything else isĀ fluid,
These are some of my favourite “bride getting ready” shots I’ve tried to narrow them down but there’s still a lot so bear with me and let me know what you think in the comments.
