Wedding Photography at Brympton House
Brympton House was the perfect setting for Elizabeth and Andrew’s autumn wedding in early October. It’s a fabulous venue with heaps of charm. We met them the night before the wedding for their rehearsal dinner. It’s unusual in the UK but Elizabeth is American and the rehearsal dinner is a tradition. Being Autumn Brympton House was dark but beautifully and dramatically lit. The wine had been brought by Elizabeth’s father and had been bought in her birth year to celebrate the wedding. All the champagne too was vintage as was the port. During the early evening, the wine and port were decanted and allowed to stand while the guests sampled the champagne. We stayed until the first course was served and then it was back to the hotel to get ready for the morning.
Luxury wedding photography
We arrived bright and early to the house. All the guests along with Andrew were in the pantry having breakfast while Elizabeth, her mother and the bridesmaids were in the bridal suite having hair and makeup. The ceremony took place at St. Mary the Virgin church in Bruton. It’s a beautiful church and the vicar was really lovely.
Back at Brympton House, we had just enough time for some family shots and some portraits before the rain started. The drinks reception took place in the impressive reception room. In the hallway, the table plan was presented by custom made plates. Each plate representing a table. There was a real richness to the colours used for the wedding. It almost felt like Christmas with the gorgeous decoration in the dining room. Once the meal was done there were emotional speeches and tales of sisterly love and rivalry, a few tears for lost loved ones and rounded off with the Father of the Bride remembering Elizabeth’s life and the colour of Andrew’s hair when they first met.
Manor House Venue
By now it was dark outside so the cake was cut in the warm glow of the open fire and everyone made their way over to the stables for the dancing. The highlight of the evening being Elizabeth’s father singing to her while they danced.
It was definitely one of our favourite weddings of the year. I love autumn it’s my favourite season and this was one to remember.
