We get enquiries from all over the world. Recently we had a couple of enquiries for proposal and engagement shoots. One from Hong Kong and one from Australia. One I can share with you and one I can’t. New Year is the most popular time to get engaged and Nathan had arranged a European trip to propose to Sachini at the Temple of Apollo in Stourhead Gardens.
We’re snowed under with editing weddings at the moment. The season has truly begun. I thought I’d take a quick five minutes out and share some of my favourite engagement images from the year so far.
Claire & Nathan found us on Fearless Photographers. It’s a directory of some of the best wedding photographers in the world so it’s always amazing when we are chosen from all those incredible photographers to shoot a wedding.
Claire and Miles are getting married in Henley this May. On Sunday we met them for an engagement shoot in the tiny village of Turville in Buckinghamshire. We battled hurricane force winds and slippery conditions to climb up to Cobstone windmill. When we got to the top we found it was surrounded by a 7 foot high fence. Oh well.
Caroline & Rob are getting married at Old Down Manor this Christmas. We love a Christmas wedding so we’re excited to be their wedding photographers. I met them in Clifton recently for their engagement shoot.
We have our first destination wedding coming up very soon. Nat & Rich are getting married at Finca La Concepcion in Marbella. It’s safe to say we’re both excited. We will be spending a few days with them out there, covering the whole wedding including a beach shoot at dawn. Natalie is a friend of Kelly who’s wedding to Toby we shot at Sopley Mill last year.
Charlotte and JJ will be having their Great Tythe Barn Wedding near Tetbury in July. The couple live in Edinburgh and had travelled down to see family (along with their wedding venue.) Charlotte particularly loves the yellow rapeseed fields, so we headed to a byway not far from the Barn to make the best of the colour all around us.
It was midday and the sun beat down relentlessly on the Cutty Sark. It stood motionless on the glass sea. With the bow looking out towards London’s Docklands, even in a cloudless sky the midday sun was behind the boat – meaning we could get some gorgeous shots of Emma & Errol.
We met Charlotte and Scott when Charlotte was a bridesmaid for Kelly and Toby’s wedding at Sopley Mill back in August last year. That was one of our favourite weddings and it was amazing to get a call from Charlotte on the Monday.
Ruth and Darren’s Winkworth Farm wedding is all set for August. We made a trip to Lacock into a cosmic dream ride for their engagement shoot.
