Great Tythe Barn wedding – Charlotte & JJ

Charlotte and JJ’s Great Tythe Barn wedding was rare in that they had an outdoor ceremony on the lawn. We’ve shot there a lot in the last year and it was a first for us. We had shot there a few weeks prior for Jenna and Ross’ wedding. They too wanted an outdoor ceremony but the weather didn’t look good. In the end after choosing to go indoors the weather was fine. It was the opposite for Charlotte and JJ. It was a beautiful sunny morning when everyone got ready. All the family here, the men in Kilts, everyone excited and having a great time. It all looked good. However that was about to change…

As Charlotte stepped out to meet the registrars it started spitting. As she lined up with her Dad and bridesmaids it got a little heavier. When she reached the altar it was really coming down. Everyone was asked and agreed to go ahead right there. So we all braved the rain, kept calm and carried on. The moment they were married everyone made a bolt for the door.
