Grittleton House Wedding Photographer
Grittleton House – Ceri and Debs
I love this wedding. As Wiltshire wedding photographers it’s one of our favourites so far this year. I’ve said before that weddings are about people and it’s true. We met Ceri and Debs back in March for their engagement photography in Clifton. I love those photos and the wedding images have the same feel.
We left our house in the morning mid thunderstorm with the rain hammering down. When we got to the church the rain had stopped and we had stormy skies. By the time we had met the boys the sun was out and the weather stayed beautiful for the rest of the day.
We met Debs at her parents house and to our surprise were greeted by her Dad Mike who was a preacher at Luke and Lucy’s wedding in Dauntsey. Mums and Aunts were busy preparing the flowers in the gazebo while Debs and the girls were made up in the house.
A new boy band is born
Prepare to meet Flare.
Your boy band for the day is comprised of Ceri, lead groom with backup provided by Rhys, Greg and Stew.
We had scouted the church the previous evening and noticed an amazing old disused filling station. On the morning we checked with the owners that it was ok to shoot on their forecourt and then went to meet Ceri and the boys at the pub. Breakfast of champions washed down with single malt. A promo shoot at the garage with their first single due to be married in an hour so it was on to the church – one of the prettiest Churches I’ve ever seen.
Grittleton House was looking amazing, last time we shot Grittleton House wedding photography was in February and we had great weather then – although much colder. The light just got better and better as the day went on so we held off shooting their portraits until after 8pm which also gave Ceri and Debs a break from mingling.
It was an amazing day and here are some of my favourites –
