Harptree Court. Somerset Wedding – Ed and Kate
Harptree Court – Home to the Great British Bake off – is a beautiful, wedding venue in Somerset. I don’t think that they have held many weddings so if you are looking for somewhere unique then I can recommend it. They also have an amazing treehouse and yurt if you are looking for a special place to get engaged.
We met Kate and Ed at a wedding show in January. Ed gave me a good grilling about insurance, back ups, equipment and so forth but I had it all covered. We have check lists to ensure we don’t forget anything, we have a list of other photographers who could step in if the worst happens, we have insurance and we back everything up multiple times including off site so that your images are always safe.
The wedding was a fabulous DIY day including the “Great wedding bake off” and featuring a gorgeous red E-Type Jag. The ceremony was probably the most emotional one we’ve ever covered with pretty much everyone in tears. Following the ceremony the bake off was judged and cakes were scoffed. It was the time to jump into the Jag and roar off to Chew Magna for the wedding breakfast and party.
We managed to squeeze in a few portraits in the church yard after the ceremony. It was pitch black by then but we’re always prepared. Once the party started it was time for us to head off.
