Italian Villa Wedding – Charlotte & Scott

Charlotte and Scott’s Italian Villa wedding, in July was a laid back happy day in a beautiful setting.

They met at work, it was love at first sight and they’ve been together for 5 years. Scott proposed at night on the 102nd floor of the Empire State Building in New York overlooking the city. It was such a blur they had to go back the next day to see what it looked like in daylight.

Their vision for the day was sunshine (hopefully), happy and smiling guests with lots of eating, drinking, partying and celebrating their marriage. Charlotte & Scott chose us as their photographers after Charlotte was bridesmaid at Kelly & Toby’s Sopley Mill wedding last year. We got the call on the Monday following the wedding.

On the day Charlotte wore a one shouldered dress with sparkle detail on the shoulder, in the middle and at the bottom of the train.
“It was quite a full design and it really was my dream dress, definitely ‘the one’ for me as soon as I saw it. I had a tiara and a full length long veil with sparkle detailing which was beautiful. A pearl bracelet and earrings borrowed from my mum and silver sparkly shoes which were borrowed from my hairdresser! I was having my hair done saying I couldn’t find any shoes, and I when I described what I was after she said she had the perfect pair! When I took them to the dress shop to try them with the dress they really were perfect and the detailing matched my dress – spooky!!”

Charlotte and Scott made their own wedding favours – mints with the slogan ‘mint to be’ on them with the wedding date and their names. The cake was made by Charlotte’s friend ‘Clares Cupcakery’, 80 individual cupcakes with flower designs along with a beautiful two tier cake on the top with the same flower detailing.

What advice would Charlotte give to other couples planning their special day?
“Plan it for the both of you and make it how you want to do it. Enjoy planning it and making it magical and memorable in a place that you will always remember your dreams coming true. Don’t worry about anything, take your time and recommendations are always good as there are many wedding companies and organisations out there trying to get your business.”

Here is what Charlotte & Scott said about us… “You both are fantastic and we loved having you with us, capturing many happy memories. Thank you very much.”

And a shout out to other suppliers: “The Italian Villa – Laura, Chris, Ebony and the guys running the bar downstairs; Beales Gourmet, our caterers, were fantastic; Danielle at Hillview Flowers was also fantastic, and Bridal Treats – Laura and Natalie who did our make-up and hair – they were really lovely and got everything spot on.”

If you are having your wedding at The Italian Villa or anywhere else and you are looking for a wedding photographer then please get in touch. We would love to hear all about your plans.
