Kings Weston House Bristol Wedding
We shot the first wedding at Kings Weston House in Bristol last Christmas and we were back there a few weeks ago to shoot Laura and Arash’s wedding. The ceremony was at 3pm which we thought meant that we could have a lie in and leisurely drive over to meet Laura. However the gods of traffic and misguided sat-nav had other ideas and ended up being a frantic drive over. We still arrived on time so no big drama in the end.
Kings Weston House is a beautiful, venue set in glorious parkland. It has been lovingly restored by it’s owner Norman and makes a stunning setting for a wedding. This is the second time we’ve shot a wedding at Kings Weston House and it was fantastic to have more daylight and less rain. At least this time we got to explore the parkland a little more, even if it was only for fifteen minutes before the wedding breakfast. At Christmas last year we only got as far as the steps.
The bridal prep is probably my favourite part of the day. I always try to spend a lot of time getting gorgeous images of the girls getting ready as I think it’s an experience they won’t want to forget. Laura and the her bridesmaids were mostly calm with a few pre-flight nerves creeping in but once the hair and make up was done they all looked beautiful.
When we arrived at Kings Weston House, Arash was outside practising his speech. Most of the guests turned up by coach and the ceremony room soon filled as Laura and her bridesmaids arrived in their vintage cars. After an emotional ceremony there was confetti on the steps. We had fifteen minutes to get some portraits of Laura and Arash in the grounds but Kings Weston House is set in a large park so there’s no problem finding somewhere interesting to shoot.
It was Liverpool vs Everton during the speeches for Dad and Arash while Pat, Arash’s brother had everyone in stitches with his Best Man’s speech.
Soon it was time for dancing and the house was rocking as the Bristol wedding photographers headed off into the night.
If you are getting married at Kings Weston House and would like beautiful images that tell your story then give us a call. We would love to hear from you.
