Jacky and Daniel wanted a small intimate wedding. No formalities, just a relaxed day with close family and friends. They chose The Hoxton, High Holborn for their London wedding. They found us on Fearless Photographers and we were excited as it would be our first gay wedding.
We met them in the morning at The Hoxton. The boys were getting ready together which made it easy for us to get some portraits with them before leaving the hotel. The ceremony was at Wandsworth Town Hall. We last shot a wedding there back in 2011 and in contrast this time the place was empty. Jacky and Daniel were the only ceremony happening that day so we had the place to ourselves. The guys had chosen “limited edition” navy three piece suits from Topman with the bridesmaids also in navy with the guests also wearing elements of blue to complement the wedding party.
After an emotional ceremony we all headed back to the Hoxton in a vintage red London wedding bus.
Back at the reception there were more tears as a montage of video messages were played from friends and family around the world. As always with laptop/projector based speeches there were some technical hitches so we took the opportunity to run outside with the boys to get some portraits before the gremlins were sorted and the speeches could conclude.
Once the cake was cut we headed off into the London traffic and home.
Jacky and Daniel said –
“We found Kevin on Fearless Photographers website. Kevin is one of very few who earned himself multiple Fearless awards and his work on his website was exactly the style we wanted. Kevin caught our attention when he wrote back to us. He explained how he would love to work with us as we are his first gay wedding. Of course we were very happy with his work and therefore jumped at the chance to have Kevin and Carol photograph our special day.”
