Lower Lawn Barns Wedding Photography – Bee & Olie
Lower Lawn Barns in Tisbury is a beautiful Wiltshire wedding venue. It was our first time photographing a wedding here and we hope to go back soon. I dropped Carol off with Olie at his parent’s house and once ready he took off for the church with Tom, the best man, in his Austin-Healey 3000. I met Bee and the girls getting ready in Shaftesbury. Bee’s girls presented her with a wonderful keepsake album of their friendship which brought on some pre-wedding tears.
Church wedding at St. Leonards
St Leonards church was filling up as I arrived. There were a lot of military there as Olie was previously an officer in the army. As I remember he left the army to “..make a shit load in the city.” according to one of the speeches (I can’t remember which one). It seems to have worked. An honour guard including swords and umbrellas greeted the couple as they left the church and then they sped off in the Austin. We went down to Fonthill Estate Arch for some photos and then I sat in the boot of our car and got some action shots of the newlyweds as we drove back up to the Barns.
Tisbury wedding venue
It was a gorgeous day, perfect for a wedding and everyone was enjoying the sunshine as Bee and Olie arrived. The car was parked in the centre of the courtyard and many of the guests couldn’t resist jumping in for a selfie. I’m sure they were making “Vroooom” noises as well. In the evening fire pits were lit to keep the guests warm but most people were inside having a massive party.
Even though we are Wiltshire wedding photographers we travel all over the UK and are always visiting new venues. It’s still amazing when we find hidden treasures like Lower Lawn Barns which are close by and we’d never even heard of.
