Notley Tythe Barn Wedding – Laura & John
Laura and John’s Notley Tythe Barn wedding was just straight up fun – all day. John didn’t want any groom prep and they didn’t want anything posed and that’s fine with us. When you get married it’s your day so go your own way. Today wasn’t a traditional wedding, they weren’t religious and had already officially – I would say “tied the knot” but that was just about to happen for real so “got married” will have to do.
Humanist Wedding Ceremony
Today was a celebration. A humanist ceremony, outdoors in the glorious Buckinghamshire countryside with music, singing, laughter and a few tears. Coming to the aisle Dad stepped on the veil and pulled it right off Laura’s head. It was time to tie the knot. The weather can make an enormous difference on a day like this. We were lucky and the sun shone all day so everyone could enjoy the wedding outside.
Outdoor Wedding
Laughter, tears, drinking, eating, speeches and dancing. It was just a gorgeous fun day with a really fantastic couple and their family and friends. Take a look.
One thing I must mention is the food. It was Mexican quesadillas and was just amazing. We don’t always get fed but this time we were and it was on another level. If food is rare then being served pudding is like unicorn wings – today we had chocolate unicorn wings. We have to thank Alison and the staff for looking after us. It’s really fabulous when we get remembered and we do appreciate it and remember it.
