Our best wedding photography of 2017

It’s traditional at this time of year for all wedding photographers to post a “Best wedding photography” of the previous year post. We are no exception to this. We have amazing clients and we want to show them off. Of course we had ups and downs throughout the year. Both of our cats were sick and hospitalised at different times and one of the cars blew up leaving Carol stranded for 4 hours waiting for the recovery vehicle. The weddings we photographed were all brilliant in their unique ways and you can see our favourite images in the “Best of 2017” gallery.

Bridesmaid catches the bouquet

Authentic photography as it happens

It’s really hard to narrow down images for a best of wedding photography post so I have created a gallery page where you can see our favourite images. There are 220 and they are in a typical wedding day order. Starting with our favourite “getting ready” shots and following the day through the ceremony, confetti, drinks reception, portraits and on to the party in the evening. You’ll see the spirit of the day as we like to capture it. Authentic moments as they happen.

Energy, emotion and real memories

The bride and bridesmaids arrive at the church door

We don’t interfere with the day. I like to photograph the dress where it’s hanging and the shoes where I find them. I don’t create a carefully placed ring in the bouquet photo. It doesn’t represent the clients we like to attract and it doesn’t represent us. We like the emotion to show. The imperfections, the excitement, the raw energy. You don’t get that when things are set up. With us you get things as they are. We get on with the job with no drama, no fuss and we deliver images that will allow you to remember the day as it happened and bring all those feelings flooding back.
