Spectacular marquee wedding photography – Victoria & Ben
Ben & Victoria’s luxury Cheshire wedding took place in Mobberley, the village where they grew up and live. We started the morning with Victoria and the girls at Victoria’s father’s beautiful farmhouse. The wedding marquee was being set up in the garden while the girls got their hair and makeup done in the kitchen.
Mobberley Church wedding
Inside the marquee there was a sea of flowers as the florists dressed the tables, the bar was set up and the band arrived to set up and soundcheck. Carol left me and went over to Ben and the ushers at his home nearby. All the groomsmen were dressed in top hat and tails and headed off to the pub for a quick pint at the Church Inn before the ceremony started. The evening before the wedding there was a spectacular sunset and we were hoping for more of the same today. The morning was wet but following the ceremony the sun came out and luckily it didn’t rain again until after we’d left.
Victoria wore a stunning Monique Lhuillier Amore dress. You can see why it was voted one of the top ten wedding dresses of 2016 by Vogue.
Inside the church the flower decorations were huge. Both myself and Cal, the videographer, had a little trouble as we were both placed behind them. It was a challenging ceremony to shoot but with Carol at the back we still captured all the joyous emotions of the ceremony.
Luxury Marquee wedding reception
After the ceremony it was back to Dad’s house for the reception. The guests gathered in the garden and marquee bar for drinks and canapes while the flowers from the church were hotfooted in to finish off one of the most spectacular wedding marquees we’ve ever photographed. The back of the marquee was lined by huge windows which looked out over the beautiful Cheshire countryside. The Gilev showband played the guests and Ben & Victoria in to the wedding breakfast. Between courses the band got Ben up to perform with them and later on there was a challenge for one of the guests who joined the band for an amazing performance almost matching their best singers. If not matching in musicality, certainly matching in effort and entertainment, and definitely impressed the crowd and the band.
Cheshire wedding party
During the speeches the band discretely moved from the small stage to the main club stage and after the speeches had finished the curtains were pulled back to reveal the club area and the band began to play. The cake was cut under the huge glitter ball and then it was straight into the first dance. The sunset never came but we did manage some gorgeous portraits with Ben and Victoria outside the farmhouse before it was time for us to head off back home while the guests partied the night away. It was fantastic to be Cheshire wedding photographers for a change and at such a luxury wedding. We had a great time.
“I love them. I can’t tell you how much. You captured the day beautifully so thank you!” – Victoria
