Stanbrook Abbey Wedding Photography – Sam & Paul
Stanbrook Abbey is a stunning wedding venue in Worcester. We were here for the second time photographing a wedding at this former monastery. The dramatic architecture provides a gorgeous setting. It makes being a wedding photographer easy and the staff are great too. When people ask us which is our favourite wedding venue we always tell them it’s not the venue, the people are most important. Stanbrook Abbey wedding photography is a joy.
Worcester wedding venue
When we arrived at Stanbrook Abbey there was much excitement. Sam and her girls getting ready in the Bride’s Manor, all big hair and makeup; Paul and his groomsmen put the final touches to their black tie outfits while enjoying a drink in the Groom’s Room before moving through to the piano lounge to greet the guests. Once Sam was in her dress she was met by an emotional Ian – acting Father of the Bride – who put a sixpence in her shoe ready for the ceremony.
Wedding ceremonies in the Callow Great Hall look amazing. The stained glass windows create a fabulous look and atmosphere. It’s a fantastic and beautiful room. It has the grandeur of a church for couples who don’t want a religious wedding. Carol managed to run up the bell tower during the ceremony to take spectacular aerial shots of everyone.
Black Tie Wedding
Sam and Paul were great fun all day; everyone looked absolutely stunning. The men in their smart black ties and bridesmaids in stunning royal blue short dresses against the backdrop of the romantic cloisters.
Being a summer wedding, guests all relaxed on the terrace and in the gardens outside St. Anne’s Hall ahead of the wedding breakfast. For the wedding breakfast itself, Sam and Paul sat on their own top table. Just the two of them. Really quite a unique thing to do. After the speeches were done the wedding guests relaxed in the sunshine and in the Library Bar while we took Sam and Paul off for some relaxed and intimate portraits.
Back to St. Anne’s Hall for the cake cutting and first dance and then we left them to party on into the night with fire pits and sparklers.
If you are planning a Stanbrook Abbey wedding we would love to hear from you.
