Stone Barn wedding – Lauren & Mike

Stone Barn is one of our favourite Cotswolds wedding venues. Lauren & Mike had their wedding at Stone Barn back at the start of the summer last year (I know. I know, I’m catching up with last years weddings now). It was a glorious day, quite a difference to the previous wedding at Matara with Harri & Ranj which was bitterly cold.

Carol went to Mike and the boys and I went to Lauren. This is what we usually do to cover both preps. If you are getting ready at the same place that makes it easy but we try to cover you both in the morning. There are limits where it’s just no feasible but wherever possible we’ll cover the groom prep and the bride. It helps to tell the story of the day and gives you memories you otherwise wouldn’t have.

Getting married in the Cotswolds

The barn was beautifully decorated and the barbeque was being fired up as we arrived for the wedding ceremony. Following the ceremony the confetti walk takes place indoors which is unusual but it makes for fantastic photography with all the guests close in and the fairy lights overhead.

Outside the guests were treated to custom wedding sunglasses which made everyone look awesome. Speeches were funny and emotional with the best men doing a turn as a kind of nerdy Public Enemy/Beastie Boys/”Childs Dressing up box” rap crew.

We had a fantastic day with everyone and as always it was a shame to leave. As we leaft I managed to get one last shot of Lauren and Mike as they took a few minutes out for themselves. It’s always something that couples recommend as the day goes past in a blur.
