Wellington Barn Wedding Photography – Emily & Andrew

This was our second wedding at Wellington Barn. Our first at St. Mary’s church.  St. Mary’s is a beautiful little church tucked away down a lane just by the Barn. It’s small but can hold 80 guests so can cope with most weddings. Wellington Barn is a fantastic modern barn set in gorgeous rolling Wiltshire countryside. Emily & Andrew booked us as their Wiltshire wedding photographers after they found us on Fearless Photographers.

Our day started in Compton Bassett. Emily was staying at Buttle Farm and Andrew at The White Horse. Carol went over to photograph the Groom prep and I stayed with the girls. When all the hair and makeup was done I caught a lift with Emily in her wedding Beetle to the church where Andrew was waiting. It was tightly packed inside and Carol had her work cut out getting her shots while guests leant out into the aisle to get theirs. We’re used to it though and we don’t ask for unplugged weddings. Guest images are all part of the day.

After the rings were exchanged and confetti thrown it was off to Wellington Barn for the reception. It was a glorious day (Our last Wellington Barn wedding photography was a challenge as it rained all day). Everyone had a great time outside playing garden games and trying desperately to hit the brave photographer (me) with bean bags. I stood my ground and no-one scored a hit. The photos came out great.

We went up the hill for some images when the sun started to set and came back down for the party. We stayed on for a few songs and then headed off into the night as the band played on…
