Wiltshire Church wedding with reception at Rockley Manor

Ellice & Josh were married in the tiny village of Woodborough. Woodborough Church is a beautiful, quaint little country church. The vicar was lovely but slightly overwhelmed with two Wiltshire wedding photographers and James from 88 films.

She wasn’t used to the attention and was slightly nervous. We assured her that we wouldn’t get in the way. Now we have moved to Fujifilm X series cameras we have the ability to shoot with no noise which definitely helps calm vicars. Our old Canons used to have a silent mode but it wasn’t silent just quieter. The Fujis have an electronic shutter so are completely silent.

Rockley Manor is the perfect wedding venue. On a glorious summer’s day it’s a delight to photograph. Ellice and Josh arrived from the church in a vintage wedding car with the bridal party arriving in a vintage bus. After drinks and canapes on the lawn and a quick game of snooker for the boys it was time for the wedding breakfast in the Baronial Hall.

We left the portraits until we had the best light. It’s our job as wedding photographers to make the best photographs so on a summer day we always wait. If it rains then we’ll find the best indoor location. But today wasn’t that day and we have a beautiful sunset.

We slipped off as everyone partied into the night.
