We both Swiped right! – A winter wedding
Kate & Jamie had a winter wedding at Clevedon Hall in January after meeting on Tinder. It was a leap year and Kate had Haribo rings, so after Jamie’s Dad joking about it, she got down on one knee after the washing up. He said yes. Of course the Haribo didn’t last long and a few weeks later Jamie presented Kate with a diamond.

They loved Clevedon Hall as soon as they saw it. “It was the second place we looked at but didn’t need to see anymore. It was a fantastic venue and couldn’t have asked more from them. The staff were incredible. We were so lucky as with a January wedding, we choose a venue where everything could be indoors but not feel cramped.”
“I had a Justin Alexander wedding dress that had beautiful beads, crystals, pearls and diamante and a low lace back with buttons all the way down. Shoes came from Rainbow Club and were so comfortable, probably the only heels I have worn until I have gone to bed. I wore Grandma’s earrings which were simple drop pearl earrings to match my dress. Jamie kept his and the ushers suits a secret until the day. I knew he was wearing blue but I had no say or part in the decision there. Thankfully he choose very well and looked gorgeous. I had my sister as Maid of Honour and she wore a beautiful long slate grey dress.”
“We were so lucky as Jamie’s mum makes cakes so she made our 3 tiered wedding cake with a small flower detail picked up from the bouquet.” As it was Dad’s birthday he also had a cake complete with candles and everyone sang Happy Birthday.

“The whole thing was a highlight and we were super happy that we ended it as Mr and Mrs Gavin. I bought Jamie a watch as a wedding gift. As I proposed I felt he should have something to remember it by. Haribo rings don’t last that long. Jamie bought me a beautiful gold troll bead charm for my bracelet he bought me the year before.”
“As I own my own chocolate shop with my sister we provided truffles and sweets in big bowls in the evening. Each guest had their own personalised box as their place name, the guests were probably upset that they were empty as they sat down for dinner, but we wanted them to fill them with their personal favs rather than us choosing truffles for each box.” – The photographers enjoyed the chocolates too.
“We came across Kevin and Carol as they were my cousin’s wedding photographers the year before and really loved their pictures. When we met they were incredibly friendly and we loved even more of the pictures they had taken. We liked the idea of having 2 photographers so that they could follow us both getting ready. We had a pre wedding shoot that was essential for us to know what they expected from us. (Neither of us are natural in front of the camera but both love photos)”
